WB Harkens Back to the Ye Ole Times

The WB will air its final shows on Sept. 17th and then quickly become the new ‘superhip’ CW.  What’s gonna be the last shows on The WB?  Apparently they’re going to re-air old pilots of the shows that put them on the map.  Shows included: Dawson’s Creek, Felicity, Buffy and others.

I can’t describe how much I love this idea as most of those shows defined my teenage years.  I remember the 1st Season of Dawson’s Creek being a school wide event.  If you didn’t see it the night it aired, you were getting spoiled.  I used to think Felicity was brilliant, so wise for her age.  Now I’m past the age she was when the show started.  It’s very surreal.

The WB defined a generation of viewers, my generation.  It seems fitting to end the network with a tribute to these shows.  One can only hope that shows like Veronica Mars and Everybody Hates Chris will define generations of their own when they hit the CW.

Hey There!

This blog will gradually grow as I have more time to update it. I love television, movies and pretty much all things media related. So prepare for changes as this is very much still a work in progress. Questions or further comments? Email tvdork.
